Mike Gee doesn’t believe in blurbs, but his wife has other ideas so here’s the rundown: this is a music blog written pretty much exclusively by music journalist Mike Gee, who has given up his hard-living ‘rock’ ways in favour of running half marathons. Yep, not to do anything by halves, Mike’s passion for music is evidenced here in his musings. Enjoy.
Mike’s been writing about music and talking to musicians for 34 years now. He is an avid fan and collector of 1960s and 1970s music, particularly, psych, prog, folk, rock, krautrock and pop. Loves the 1970s punk explosion and finds reason to still believe in every decade since. He has done more than 5000 interviews, been published in more than 200 publications (both print and online) all over the world, is a published author, and can’t sing or play an instrument to save his life.
Now for the boring part. In order to fuel his running obsession, Mike needs to eat. And music journalism doesn’t pay well at the best of times so please don’t rip his articles off without first getting permission from the man himself and linking back to Gee muses.
